About Us

Bespoke Fitness Solutions was founded on the belief that midlife is a time to thrive, not slow down.

If you feel like life has gotten in the way of your fitness, you're not alone. I've been there myself—juggling a demanding career, unhealthy habits, and the physical setbacks that come with age. My own journey, which began with a pivotal decision to train for a Spartan Race, taught me that it's never too late to reclaim your health and build lasting strength.

Bespoke Fitness Solutions is built on my philosophy of Mind, Muscle & Movement — training the mind to believe in what’s possible, building muscle to protect and strengthen the body, and restoring the quality of movement that makes life easier and more enjoyable.

I specialise in working with clients in their 40s, 50s, and beyond, who are looking to return to fitness, recover from injury, or simply get stronger. I offer more than just workouts; I offer a strategy for lasting change. Every client journey begins with a deep, holistic assessment of your goals, lifestyle, and unique needs. Together, we then build a personalised plan that prioritises safe, effective, and sustainable results helping you move better, feel stronger, and live a more vibrant life.

Philosophy

Mind, Muscle & Movement — the strength, focus, and freedom to live life on your terms.

My entire coaching philosophy is built around three core pillars: Mind, Muscle and Movement.

  • Mind: We build the mental skills that turn short-term effort into lasting change. This means developing resilience, confidence, and focus, so you can stay consistent and reach your goals through life's ups and downs.

  • Muscle: Strength is the foundation of vitality. My evidence-based training helps you rebuild muscle, protect your joints, support bone health, and unlock new energy—especially through midlife and beyond.

  • Movement: Fitness should carry over into real life. We train for how you live, focusing on pain-free mobility, better posture, and the freedom to walk, climb, lift, and play without fear or limitation.

We don't just train muscles; we teach resilience, confidence, and healthy movement that lasts a lifetime. Every training program is tailored to your unique needs, whether you're rebuilding after injury, navigating the shifts of midlife, or striving for new athletic achievements.

My role is to challenge without judgment, support without ego, and celebrate your progress. For me, the true measure of success isn't just how you look—it's how you move, feel, and live.

Meet David: Your Midlife Fitness & Wellness Coach

I'm David, a Level 3 Personal Trainer and a Level 4 Specialist in Diabetes and Weight Management. I specialise in working with people in their 40s, 50s, and beyond because I truly understand the challenges of this stage of life. In my mid-50s, I've navigated the same pressures you might be facing—career demands, unhealthy habits, and the frustration of inconsistent training and minor injuries.

My own turning point came in 2021 when I decided to train for a Spartan race. That one goal helped me break a cycle of stop-start training and rediscover my own athletic potential. My journey, which has included training for marathons and overcoming personal setbacks, taught me the importance of training smarter, not just harder.

This experience led me to develop my Mind, Muscle & Movement philosophy. I believe that lasting change comes from combining mental focus, physical strength, and quality movement. Now, I bring this unique blend of professional expertise and lived experience to help my clients overcome their own barriers, build resilience, and enjoy a vibrant, active life at any age.

  • What really stood out to me is the coaching style, it’s relaxed, supportive, and genuinely inclusive. It’s a space where progress feels achievable and sustainable.

  • It was very obvious to me the effort put into planning each session was tailor made for my requirements, it was always progressive, it was always hard but it was always do-able.

  • One of Dave’s greatest strengths is his ability to adapt his approach to each individual. He recognises that no two people are the same, and he takes the time to adjust his training style so that everyone feels supported and capable.

  • The honest approach, regular check ins, different styles of training kept me going to work harder each session!
